Dalmunzie Castle is a stunning quintessential Lairds mansion turreted in the Scots Baronial style & standing proudly at the head of a 6500 acre estate dating back to 1510. Enjoying magnificent mountain scenery, Dalmunzie is located in a hidden part of Highland Perthshire, yet is less than two hours from Edinburgh airport. Peace and tranquillity are a feature of life at Dalmunzie with fires & lounges contributing to a relaxing haven from the outside world.

The 17 bedrooms are all individual in style, decoration and theme and all enjoy an aspect of the stunning mountain scenery, golf course or surrounding lawns. All bedrooms are located throughout the Castle in the original Hunting Lodge, Tower, Victorian & Edwardian wings. Each bedroom is named after a family who have been an important part of Dalmunzie estate‘s history over the last 500 years.

The bedrooms are designed to reflect Dalmunzie’s original purpose as a relaxing retreat for the Laird and his family in this beautiful part of Scotland. Our bedrooms are highly individual, even quirky and full of character and antiques. If you prefer modern rectangular ‚box‘ bedrooms and facilities usually associated with modern chain hotel groups, then we should acknowledge Dalmunzie may not be for you...... In addition to the bedrooms listed on the sub-pages we have a twin annex room Ramsay which interconnects with the Tower bedroom Birkmyre making it ideal for families. The Dalmunzie bedroom MacThomas has a separate sitting room which can make it a family room for ‚small‘ children if required. Also we should note all of the Tower rooms and most of the 4 Poster rooms are very large and can accommodate extra fold-up beds for small children. If on the other hand you enjoy bedrooms with real charm, eccentric appeal, and a history that reflect an old home, then we feel sure you will enjoy Dalmunzie.

At Dalmunzie we feel particularly proud of the Food & Beverage we provide. With two AA rosettes and three years recommended in the Michelin guide (2007-2009) we can guarantee a high consistency of product. Whether it’s a hearty breakfast in preparation for a big day, a relaxing lunch between golf rounds, or dressing up for a special dinner, we are confident our chefs can provide guests with an experience to remember.
